Times: Saturday - 8:30 - 10:30 AM & Sunday - 1 - 3 PM (2nd - 5th-grade Fundamentals Lab)

Saturday - 10:30 - 12:30 PM & Sunday - 3 - 5 PM (5th - 8th- grade Game Speed Skills Lab)

Fundamental Skills Lab Description -

The focus of this lab will be to develop fundamentals through cutting edge isolated skill drills by Damien Lolar and Nick Graham.

✅Stationary ball - handling, ✅ball- handling footwork, ✅stationary passing, ✅passing off of the bounce, ✅lay-ups/finishing, ✅scoring, ✅reading defenders, ✅footwork, ✅shooting, ✅basketball IQ

Intangible skills - ✅Talking, ✅working focused, ✅being aggressive, ✅NOT BEING AFRAID TO FAIL

Game Speed Skills Lab Description

This lab will be conducted at a much faster pace. Players will lay a foundation with isolated skill drills and progress to high volume scoring reps, before finishing with one on one feel drills before applying all of that in 2 on 2 and 3 on 3 settings. With this age group, we will coach them to develop their "feel" for the game through situational 3 on 3 and a brief film session each day.

✅Ball-handling, ✅passing off the bounce, ✅weak hand passing, ✅advanced finishing, ✅scoring off game action, ✅shooting off cuts, ✅change of speed, ✅efficiently playing downhill, ✅moves and counter moves.

What to bring: A basketball, water bottle, and a teachable attitude.

What to expect: Passionate and detailed instruction from player development specialists Nick Graham and Damien Lolar. They have developed players of all ages and skill levels.

Graham spent the last year on staff at Iowa State University where he contributed his development expertise to developing a year-round development program for the players in the program. Graham has also worked with a handful of professional players that include; Ty Lawson, Jimmer Fredette, Trae Young amongst others. Also, Graham is mentored by Chauncey Billups, former NBA champion.

Lolar began Verve basketball in Minnesota in 2014, since then he has churned out more than a handful of professional, collegiate and high school players. Before Verve, Lolar’s professional career included stints in numerous countries and Championships in China and Columbia. Damien pursued a professional career domestically playing two years in the NBA D-league, where he scored a career-high 36 points. He spent the 2007 offseason with the Denver Nuggets and the 2008 season in the ABA with the Oklahoma Stallions, where he averaged 32.7 points per game.
