⛹🏽‍♂️A few seasons ago, one of my college players had a daily routine of making 10 free throws in a row at the end of our player development workouts.

👊🏾No matter how frustrated he was, he’d stay and make his 10 in a row; as a result, his free throw percentage rose from 68% to 81%!

🤦🏾‍♂️After a while, the player began to go from making 10 in a row to just making 10, and then from making 10 to shooting 10. At one point he stopped shooting free throws at the end of the workout all together.

🚽 His free throw percentage began to hit the toilet again, and he even went 1/9 in a game.

⚠️Like the player, we are all capable of subtlety compromising our character to the point that we don't even realize we are doing it.

🙅🏾‍♂️Compromise, which is one of the devil’s most significant tools is merely doing a little bit less than what is pure or right.

🚨Moving forward let's keep our eyes open so we can be on alert for subtle compromise and humble ourselves with the following statement of humility:

🗣I can't give less than my best and still be all God created me to be, athletically and in every other walk of life. I acknowledge that I have no room to compromise.
