🤾‍♀️🏽As athletes, we know that to perform at our optimum level we have to monitor our body fat percentage. In our faith walk, we too must monitor our spiritual fat.

🙅🍟🍕An athlete that’s serious about their nutrition and how it relates to success athletically will stay away from fast food, fried food, and sugary drinks, while those that do not monitor their diet may indulge in Wing-Stop, Fanta Strawberry soda, and Sour-Patch Kids candy.

❗️The same holds true for us if we are to prevail in the race of faith we are running for God.

📢Hebrews 12:1 - 2 tells us, we must change our spiritual diet to cut the fat. Instead of commanding we eliminate fatty foods, we are to eliminate sinful habits that weigh us down.

📠If we are too heavy spiritually for the race God has called us to run, we, like the athlete that does not monitor their nutrition will not be able to endure.

📖 Hebrews 12:1-2 No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in.

🙏🏽Take some time to evaluate your spiritual diet and ensure it’s lean. Ask God to lead you to identify the (spiritual) fat in your life that needs to be eliminated from your diet
